Who is eligible? Junior and Senior Biology Majors who have approval from their P.I. and will be presenting (or co-presenting) at a conference.
What is the Award for? To attend and present a poster, or other presentation, at a scientific conference. We will cover travel, hotel, registration, etc. up to $1,000.
When does the travel need to occur? Between August 15, 2025 and August 15, 2026
Can a student be reimbursed if they are selected and they already made travel plans or traveled before the application deadline? Yes.
Deadline to apply: Nov 1, 2025 (all awardees will be notified about two weeks after this date, not on a rolling basis)

What you’ll need to apply:
1. Name, location, and dates of conference
2. Rough estimates of the costs of travel, lodging, registration fees etc.
3. Statement 1: Please provide a description of your project including the specific scientific question being asked, the methods being used, any preliminary data you have, and the significance of the research (about 300 words).
4. Statement 2: How will attending this conference contribute to your academic goals and professional development? (about 300 words)
