Hui-Ling Lian, Yuan Chen and Rytas Vilgalys were featured on the cover of PLOS Genetics for their paper "Metatranscriptomic Study of Common and Host-Specific Patterns of Gene Expression between Pines and Their Symbiotic Ectomycorrhizal Fungi in the Genus Suillus," PLOS Genetics 12:10 (October 2016).  The cover photo, taken by Rytas, shows the fruit body of Suillius spraguei emerging from a cluster of club mosses.  Good work all!
