Julie Reynolds Leads $3 million NSF Writing-to-Learn Project

Julie Reynolds is the lead investigator on a $3 million grant from the National Science Foundation awarded to Duke, the University of Michigan, and the University of Minnesota. The grant is titled "Collaborative Research: Accelerating the pace of research and implementation of Writing-to-Learn pedagogies across STEM disciplines" and is the fourth phase of a project which has developed tools for objective assessment of student writing and applied those tools at the advanced undergraduate level. The project will now implement and assess writing assignments in introductory courses in biology, chemistry, physics and statistics at the three universities. Good work keeping Duke in the limelight, Julie!
