Duke Biologists Win Mercer Award

Prof. Emily Bernhardt led a team of current and former Duke ecologists in writing a paper which has now received the Mercer Award from the Ecological Society of America.  The paper, "Drought-induced saltwater incursion leads to increased wetland nitrogen export," was published in Global Change Biology in 2013 (Vol. 19, pp. 2976-2985).  In addition to Prof. Bernhardt the authors include former postodoc Marcelo Ardon, former grad student Jennifer Morse, now professors at ECU and Portland State University respectively, as well as current postdoc Benjamin Colman.

Hearty congratulations to all!
