Our Protein-Rich World: Unraveling Our Molecular Daily Lives

Proteins are remarkably diverse in size, organization, location, and function, allowing them to perform multiple roles within our cells and throughout our bodies. Because of their importance, understanding what proteins do is essential to understand how the biological world works. In this course, we will explore what proteins are and where they come from, how they play vital physiological functions as enzymes, antibodies, motor and structural proteins, and how this knowledge helps us to understand our daily lives. Not open to students with credit for Biology 201L or 202L.
