How has being a Biology graduate from Duke helped shape you personally and/or professionally?

"As I have gone in a different direction than a typical path from biology, I think the research and critical thinking training from my science education has provided a strong foundation for exploring finance through my career."

What advice would you give students in Duke's Biology programs?

"Think creatively about your future path if you want to search beyond the more traditional options such as academia, research, and medical professions. The application and intersection of science and other disciplines is vast, including policy, marketing, finance, and more, and you may find yourself go in a different direction than your academic interests."
