How has being a Biology graduate from Duke helped shape you personally and/or professionally?

"Biology was a great foundation for medical school. I really enjoyed cell bio and invertebrate anatomy. There are so many great classes!! I did a Howard Hughes Fellowship with research in nerve regeneration at one of the labs at Duke. End of year, I was published and presented my results! Just like professionals."

What advice would you give students in Duke's Biology programs?

"Find you passion. Seek out research there are so many opportunities at Duke. You get spoiled. Only after you leave Duke do you realize there is no where else like it."
