Software developed in the Noor lab

Clonescan: Perl script to look for repeated sequences among clones (FASTA format input, requires access to BLAST). Useful with microsatellite isolations.

CYCLE: MS-DOS software to test for periodicity in courtship song data.

ExtractSeq: Perl script to extract positions from source sequence file and output a fasta delimited file.

forward_reverse_consensus_alignment: Perl script to combine forward and reverse sequences, outputting one sequence per sample.

Microscan: Perl script to search for and output di- and trinucleotide repeat arrays.

MultSim: MS-DOS software to analyze the numbers of individuals that founded new populations following a bottleneck or founding event.

NsAnova: MS-DOS software to perform 2-level nested analyses of variance.

Power: an MS-DOS program to evaluate statistical power in studies of binary characters

REFinder: Perl script to scan unassembled genomic sequences for tandem repetitive elements (REs)

RevComp: MS-DOS software to quickly reverse-complement DNA sequence data.

SeqMan_to_BioEdit_converter: Perl script to take output from SeqMan alignment exported as single file, extended fasta including gaps.

Genetic and evolutionary correlates of fine-scale recombination rate variation in D. persimilis: set of scripts, sample input and sample output files of programs used to design SNPs to distinguish 2 lines of D. persimilis, and further to extract GC content, diversity, divergence, and motif abundance of a published genomic sequence for correlation to recombination rate variation.
