Please remember to send packages to room 4249 French Science Center, not room 4305.
NEWS: We are cutting back on our PhiC31 injections. We've found that many of our attP target stocks have enough background issues to make life difficult for injections and subsequent genetics. Right now the only attP site we are comfortable transforming is the AttP2 insertion at 68A4. If you have other needs contact Eric or Jamie, and if you have a good, viable attP target line that includes an integrase source, please let us know, we'll give it a look.
NEWS: We are using a new DNA purification method from Clontech. Faster, Cheaper & just as good as our old Qiagen. Here's the new protocol: MSG Clontech MIDI.
Our "half-shot" injections
seem to be working well and are available at $140 per construct. See the Transformation page under Services for more information. (For both P-elements & PhiC31 injections)

Thanks for coming to visit our site. We're here to help
labs at Duke and around the world use Drosophila in the best ways
possible. To see what we have to offer, check the "Services"
link. If you have any ideas of services you think we should offer,
just let us know. The bottom line is, if you are reading this, we
are here to help you. We are not company trying to get rich off
of the fly community, we're just a "Shared Resource" similar
to a microscopy or a microarray facility. Seriously, if you can
think of a community need, let us know, we'll try to fill it.
If you have any questions regarding the facility, please email
Eric Spana.
