Instructor – Animal Physiology Teaching Lab Department of Biology

The Laboratory Instructor should hold a Ph.D. in a field related to physiology and have teaching experience in that area, a knowledge of and interest in science and writing pedagogy, a commitment to laboratory science that incorporates animal model systems, and the ability to administer and provide logistical support for laboratory courses. Responsibilities include development of laboratory exercises, the application of best pedagogical practices for integrating laboratory exercises with the lecture part of the course, writing of lab manuals with a professional level of English writing skills and editorial abilities, developing and administering assessments, incorporating digital supplements, training of graduate teaching assistants, performing the ordering, maintenance and set-up of laboratory equipment and materials, and administering animal care and safety protocols.
